Blog
Covering a vast array of topics and photos, and peppered with humour and insights about his boyhood, art, music, nature, science, his career, and travels, Henri began posting in July 2008 and continued until his last post, February 2022.
ARCHIVE PROJECT - SELECTION OF WORKS IN PRIVATE COLLECTIONS
A work-in-progress, here you can view a few of the 200+ paintings in public and private collections around the world. We also ask viewers who own works by van Bentum to contact us so we can add photos to this site: vanbentum"at" gmail.com.
VIMEO SITE WITH VIDEOS OF ORGANIVERSE
Videos created after the International Year of Astronomy's "From Earth to the Universe" (FETTU) project, which featured Henri's Organiverse mandalas. Videos include both the original, "Helios" edition and the "Starry Night" edition.
Organiverse / Tagore project
To mark the 50th anniversary of Organiverse, a special project combining songs by Nobel Prize winning polymath Rabindranath Tagore ("Gitanjali" and "Fruit Gathering"), with the Organiverse mandalas. Produced and narrated by Henri's friend Brian W.E. Johnson.

WORKS FROM OUR PRIVATE COLLECTION (AVAILABLE FOR SALE)
Before his recent passing at the age of 92, van Bentum authorized a few paintings from his Private Collection be made available, for the first time in decades. Seventy-five percent of proceeds from any sales go towards the Henri van Bentum Legacy Project, currently in the planning stage.
Jock Macdonald remembered
A tribute to painter J.W.G. ("Jock") Macdonald (1897-1960). Henri pays his respects to this remarkable man, who was his mentor and art teacher.
COMPOSER ANN SOUTHAM
In honour of Henri's close friend and early patron, composer Ann Southam (1937-2010).
